Cindy and Merrill Reese know a little something about giving back to the community they live in. Cindy spent years educating students in the Hatboro-Horsham School District and later those at Gwynedd Mercy University, while her husband, Merrill, became the voice of the Philadelphia Eagles. After so many years of leaving a legacy for Philly residents to remember, it was past time for the community to give back to them.
In a quest to renovate their kitchen, the Reeses partnered with family-owned local businesses that have a reputation for professionalism, trend-forward products, and intimate knowledge of styling varying environments. We were ecstatic enough when Cindy and Merrill chose our countertop installation services to create their dream kitchen, and we were over the moon when Suburban Life Magazine chose to cover the story in their most recent publication. Here’s a look at the lasting impression our work had on the Reeses:
A Kitchen Design Touchdown
As an avid cook and baker, Cindy is no stranger to the kitchen. After spending months cooped up in the house during quarantine and researching modern kitchen designs, she decided it was time to zhuzh up the space. She knew one area, in particular, needed a little extra TLC. Tired of the dark surfaces of her granite countertop and backsplash, she turned to Colonial Marble & Granite for an upgrade.
After speaking with one of the experts at our showroom, Cindy chose to move forward with white quartz countertops and backsplash. Despite being presented with hundreds of stone slab options and backsplash design ideas, she didn’t feel overwhelmed by the process because she was guided every step of the way by a professional who understood her concerns and design preferences. She was even happier with the final product, describing the seamless transition from countertop to backsplash as “magnificent.” She recognized that it takes skill and meticulous effort to ensure the stone’s veining flows smoothly from one surface to the next.
Colonial Marble & Granite Walks Beside Homeowners During the Design Process
Cindy described her experience at our King of Prussia showroom to the writers of Suburban Life Magazine: “The salesperson at the [Colonial Marble & Granite] showroom did not rush me. I discussed my concerns and they addressed them, and helped me find the right materials.” This experience Cindy is describing is the experience we strive to provide every customer.
Since we opened our doors, we’ve been committed to the process of helping homeowners realize their dream designs. We do not simply usher them to the endpoint when their countertops, cabinetry, and fixtures are installed; we take the time to understand their goals, the mood and aesthetics they wish to convey, and even the features that turn them off. In this way, we can bring to life the visions they may not have even realized they were harboring.
We were excited to partner with the Reeses during their kitchen renovation and have the opportunity to understand Cindy’s culinary needs and propel her goals forward. It’s moments like these — where our expertise blends with the customer’s visions seamlessly — that remind us how creating works of art in the home is a team effort.
